What are the most popular CBD Flower Strains In Portsmouth

We stock a wide range of CBD Buds and Flowers, but one of the CBD Flower strains we find most popular in Portsmouth is our Biscotti. So if you're looking for the best CBD Flower Shop in the UK you've come to the right place

A sweet and earthy strain with notes of diesel, biscuit and walnut. It is often said that Indica strains are best taken at night. Biscotti and Indica strains are perfect for night time usage, while hybrid strains are a mixture of the two.

Our hemp flowers are named after popular cannabis strains with similar terpene profiles. They are not related to the THC strains, all our CBD hemp flowers come from carefully grown industrial hemp.

The often-applied rule of thumb is that sativa is more invigorating and energizing, while indica is more relaxing and calming — but it's not that simple. Individual plants produce varying effects, even among the same type of cannabis. It all depends on the plant's chemical composition and the growing technique used.

One of the most popular ways of consuming them is by making them into tea.

What is CBD Tea?

CBD tea can refer to a few different things. It could be a tea made from dried hemp leaves and flowers, or it could be a herbal tea enhanced with a few drops of CBD oil.

True CBD tea needs to contain cannabidiol compounds.

CBD tea is available in a variety of flavours and formulas and can contain various concentrations of CBD. It can also be blended with additional ingredients such as chamomile, lemongrass or mint to support the health benefits of CBD.

What does CBD tea do?

For a start, tea has been found to have stress-busting effects and helps to reduce the body’s natural response to external stressors.

While CBD might be effective in helping to restore a sense of well-being, not everyone enjoys the bitter and earthy taste of unflavoured CBD oil. In this case, choosing a CBD edible or drink is a more enjoyable way to get your dose of CBD.

However, while CBD tea is a great option to make CBD oil taste better, you’ll enjoy a higher level of bioavailability if you take your CBD oil under your tongue. Adding CBD to drinks will mean that your body absorbs and uses less of the CBD compounds, so it isn’t the most effective method.

Also, it is important to note that CBD tea will not get you high. CBD is not the same as THC, which is the psychoactive compound found in cannabis. CBD oil and hemp tea bags contain trace amounts of THC at the most, so they cannot get you high.

Once understated benefit of CBD flower Tea is that it is naturally caffeine free, which is great for those with a sensitivity to caffeine and its effects.

How to Make CBD Tea: Brewing the Perfect Cup

To make CBD Hemp Flower tea, you’ll need a few supplies…

Baking sheet

Parchment paper

1/2 cup boiling water

Infuser or strainer

1 cup (preferably your favourite)

1-  Decarboxylation: Prepare Your Flower

Decarboxylation sounds like a scary process, but it’s super simple and all it means is activating the Cannabinoids in your buds. Without blowing your mind with in depth science, the simple reason to decarb the CBD Flower is that it activates the Phyto cannabinoids that are otherwise in a raw state. It takes heat and time to activate those compounds into a state that will interact with the endocannabinoid system in your body.

To decarb’ your flower:

Preheat your oven to 160°C

Line a baking tray with parchment paper

Grind your flower and spread it evenly on the sheet

Bake for 35 minutes

  1. Brew the Tea

Once everything is ready, it’s time to start making the tea. Pretty self explanatory, but boil some water in a kettle

Once your water is hot, add the tea bag or loose leaf tea (in a strainer or sachet, if you prefer) into your favourite mug. Place the decarboxylated hemp flower into a tea infuser or grab a reusable sachet to make CBD bags at home.

Next, pour hot water over the contents of your cup.

The next step is an important one, you need to leave the tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. This steeping time help the CBD to infuse into the water and release those cannabinoids and terpenes. It’s important to keep an eye on brewing time, brewing too long can degrade the CBD Flower and results in a bitter brew, whilst not steeping long enough may leave you with barely flavoured hot water.

  1. Remove the Tea Bag or Infuser

It may sound obvious, but don’t forget to remove the bag or tea infuser. Not only will this prevent problems with steeping, but it saves small particles making their way into your tea and impacting the quality of the tea

Pull your tea bags or infuser from your mug and add your favorite additions like honey, sugar, lemon, coconut oil, or coconut milk to your drink for a truly personalized beverage.

  1. Enjoy!

All that’s left to do now is let your tea cool and enjoy!

The great thing about CBD Tea, as previously mentioned, is that it is naturally caffeine free. Meaning you can have a relaxing cup of it before bed time, without worrying about being kept up all night by the caffeine. Iced CBD tea is something I’ve been wanting to experiment with for a while now, have you made some? If so tell me how it was!
